2015-08-28 09:00GMT TROPICAL STORM ERIKA UPDATE
Over the night, tropical storm Erika has made a landfall on Virgin Islands, Dominica and early this morning Puerto Rico. It is blamed for causing mudslides which killed four people in Dominica. It has become slightly stronger, but it is still disorganised due to unfavourable weather conditions, unfavourable for consolidating itself that is. As it approaches island of Hispaniola (Dominican Republic and Haiti) it will clash with some disruptive winds, which can make even more unstable. The eye of the storm is predicted to be quite some distance from northern Cuba, but it has to be monitor since its forecasted path can change any time after hitting Dominican Republic.
