Skies today will be mostly sunny with high temperatures climbing into 34 Celsius (93 F). The wind will be light as well. In the afternoon, however, while most places will remain dry, showers and thunderstorms will fall in areas of the eastern North. Minimum temperatures overnight will be in the range of 24-27 Celsius (75-81 F).
The proximity of Hurricane Maria will cause sea surge on the north eastern coast with moderate coastal flooding in lowland areas, including the Baracoa seawall. There will also be waves in the south-east while in the rest of the coasts the sea will stay calm.
